Preview: Dancing Bear comes to West Yorkshire Playhouse

Over the past five years, Leeds-based Jamie Fletcher has been working on The Dancing Bear Trilogy, a series of performances and publications aiming to get people talking about the subjects of Faith, Gender and Sexuality.

Before touring throughout 2017, part-theatre part-gig performance, Dancing Bear, is coming to West Yorkshire Playhouse on 10th February 2016.

Through dance, live music, drag performance and text, the show will explore personal stories surrounding faith and sexuality. Dancing Bear has a cast of 10 multi-talented musicians, performers and dancers. This includes one of the UK’s most talented drag queens: Divina De Campo!

Jamie has also curated a book, the Alphabet Club, due for release in February to mark the start of LGBT History Month and is also releasing a special feature-length film set to be released in 2019.
