There are plenty of smashing shows coming to Leeds City Varieties in the next few months. Here’s a peek at what’s coming up…
Fairport Convention – 50th Anniversary comes to Leeds on Saturday 4th March. If you like British Folk-Rock, this one’s for you. BBC Radio 2 listeners voted their album Liege and Lief ‘the most influential Folk album of all time’!
If a theatre / cinema combo is more your style, then pop along to see Hedda Gabler, a NT live streaming from London’s Lyttleton Theatre, on Thursday 9th March. With a host of stars performing in the show, including the incredible Rafe Spall, don’t miss out on this treat of a production in the comfort of your own city.
We return to the Good Old Days on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th March. Headlined by Leeds own Billy Pearce, this is one we’re particularly excited about. Billy Pearce is undoubtedly the Panto King of Bradford, and is an incredible comedian in his own right so it will definitely be a great show. It’s a bonus there’s a host of other acts performing, too!
Continuing with the ‘variety’ theme, singer/impersonator Camille O’Sullivan comes to Leeds on Sunday 12th March. She’s performed all over the world and received great praise!
Grammy Award-winner Albert Lee and his UK band arrive on Tuesday 14th March, with classical pop music rocking its way to City Varieties on 15th March as G4 take to the stage.
We’re rounding off with another weekend full of top variety acts for the Good Old Days, including headliner Steve Hewlett (Britain’s Got Talent star ventriloquist!), on Friday 17th & Saturday 18th March
