Back at the beginning of May, Bradford Festival announced its return to City Park for its colourful and multicultural line-up of international, British and local artists.
TSOTA are now excited to hear that six brand new acts have been announced, joining the line-up for the Festival, which will run from June 13th – 15th.
Having built up a strong UK cult following, sold thousands of albums and supported UB40, Madness, Jimmy Cliff and Toots & The Maytals, sensational South London band The Dualers will be playing a blissful British-Caribbean fusion of ska and reggae classics on Saturday 14th June.
Since opening in 2013, City Park has gained a reputation for staging exciting and flamboyant street theatre, so it comes as no surprise that leading UK street performance company Nutkhut will return to the festival on Sunday 15th June as well ascritically acclaimed genre-bending British theatre company, Pif-Paf, performing a fast-paced street theatre piece ‘spun’ on a special aerial sculpture in Something to Hold.
Sunday will also see Sufi:Zen by Akademi, the UK’s leading dance charity.
In addition to Omar Puente’s Raices Cubanas, Dr Bluegrass and the Illbilly 8, Johnny Kalsi and the Dhol Foundation Big Band, music lovers will be delighted to hear the UK’s premier Mexican band, Mariachi Jalisco are also set to play on Sunday 15th June and eclectic, flamboyant Bradford band, The Peace Artistes on Friday 13th will entertain audiences with a fusion of jazz, reggae, cabaret and pop.
