Sheridan Smith comes to Bradford

Funny Girl hit the headlines last year for plenty of reasons, not least the stand-out performance of its leading lady Sheridan Smith. She wowed audiences in the sell-out run at the Menier Chocolate Factory and Savoy Theatre in London, and she’s going on tour!

She’ll play Fanny Brice, a role made famous by Barbra Streisand. Who’s heard of Don’t Rain On My Parade? It’s a top tune, and one that’ll be playing in Bradford very soon.

Sheridan Smith has played countless roles on TV and on stage, including Midsummer Night’s Dream, Hedda Gabler, Legally Blonde and Into The Woods. TV-wise, you will recognise her from hit shows such as Cilla, The C Word, The Widower, The 7.39, Mrs Biggs and Accused, as well as classics such as Gavin & Stacey and The Royle Family.

Chris Peluso is also set to star in Funny Girl, playing Nick Arnstein. He’s enjoyed success in the UK and US, and we can’t wait to see what he brings to the role.
